Administrative Development at Just for Kids – The purpose of this internship is to help the administrative team at Just for Kids successfully prepare its before and after school programs for the start of the 2023-2024 school year. The Administrative Intern will have the opportunity to help all departments within Just for Kids with various tasks to help ensure that before and after school programs are set to open on the first days of school for the 2023-2024 school year. This internship is for students looking to expand experience into the structural, administrative, and organizational realm of non-profit organizations. Career Services Intern at Jewish Family Services of Western New York – The purpose of this internship is to assist our job developers with clients within our employment programs, assisting clients to develop resumes and cover letters; and fill out job applications. Curriculum Design and Event Planning at LiNK Jewish Buffalo – The purpose of this internship is to support LiNK's initiatives around addressing antisemitism and educating about Israel, and to help create opportunities for meaningful and relevant Jewish exploration and learning. The background required is knowledge of Jewish Buffalo, Israel, antisemitism, and prior experience planning programs. The intern will join Buffalo Jewish Federation’s team and it is an opportunity for LiNK to introduce fresh perspectives, talent, and skills into our workforce and our communities. The full Buffalo Jewish Federation professional team works in a Virtual First environment, though with some in person gatherings. Curriculum Development Intern at Just for Kids – The purpose of this internship is to create youth curriculum programming and planning, long range planning, and activity development for our before and after school programs- focusing on kindergarten through sixth grade students. This intern will help to create the first part of our curriculum for our before and after school programs for the 2023-2024 school year and assist our Curriculum Development Specialist with creating, planning, and organizing lessons/activities for our before and after school programs. Our Intern will also gain experience by periodically visiting our sites to facilitate the activities that they have planned under the supervision of the Program Manager. Disability and Special Need Support at People Inc. – The purpose of this internship is to develop a meaningful and challenging project to help individuals with disabling conditions or other special needs participate and succeed in an accepting society. Some necessary skills include lifting requirement of 35 lbs.; ability to lift and transfer individuals as required by prescribed program/plan; ability to move, reposition, and place individuals in pieces of equipment; physical agility and ability to react to emergency situations, including Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention (SCIP-R) certification as per regulatory guidelines (provided in training); and Certification in CPR (provided in training). Marketing Intern at Jewish Family Services of Western New York – The purpose of this internship is to support the marketing department through creation of social media content, preparation of graphics for multiple uses, assist with internal & external communications support, support corporate sponsorship cultivation, and outreach. Refugee Services at Jewish Family Services of Western New York – The purpose of this internship is assist refugee services case managers in their day-to-day responsibilities in supporting refugee clients. This includes assisting clients during walk-in hours, helping with apartment set up and orientation to household management, bus training, driving clients to appointments when needed, assisting with weekly cultural orientations, and assisting in clerical duties. Social Media and Digital Marketing at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Buffalo – The purpose of this internship is to work with the communications department during the busy season of summer events, programs, content creation, graphic design, photography, and social media production.

The intern will create content that will be used all year round by the JCC. Our intern will work on graphic designs, photography, video, drones, social media, scriptwriting, and computer editing. This also includes taking photos around the JCC and Camp Centerland, supporting our summer esports and photography camps.
