Hillel of Buffalo is open to students enrolled at any college or university in the Buffalo-Niagara region and serves as the center for Jewish student life on campus.
Our mission is to enrich the lives of Jewish undergraduate and graduate students so that they may enrich the Jewish people and the world. Hillel student leaders, professionals and lay leaders are dedicated to creating a pluralistic, welcoming and inclusive environment for Jewish college students, where they are encouraged to grow intellectually, spiritually and socially.
The University of Buffalo is home to nearly 3000 Jewish students. Students are encouraged to become involved in building a sense of community throughout the campus, as well as locally and globally.
Our student leadership and staff are preparing for a year of amazing programming - social, arts and culture, religious, community service, sports, and much more. If there is something that interests you, we are more than happy to help you create a program designed to accomplish your goals. We offer resources, guidance, and general support for all the needs of our students!
The Hillel of Buffalo Center for Jewish Life is located in the UB Commons on the second floor, suite 203, next to the student union. Staff offices, student computers, a lounge, games and a television round off the space. Students stop by to meet with friends, chat, have a snack, or attend a program.
We look forward to seeing students around campus, at the Hillel Center or taking advantage of the varied leadership and program opportunities!
