It’s Friday night! If we are in session, then there is a Shabbat celebration! Take a break and relax with themed Shabbat dinners, matzah ball soup and friends. Want a more intimate atmosphere? Many Jewish families within the community welcome students into their homes for Shabbat. It is a wonderful way to connect to the community. If you desire home hospitality, please contact us.

Hillel sponsored Shabbat services, dinner and activities take place in the Tiffin Room and Pistachios located on the second floor of the Student Union. Watch for the calendar of Shabbat dinner dates, details of the evening, and for your opportunity to celebrate Shabbat in your own space with Hillel’s Shabbat in a Bag! The last Friday of the month, Hillel distributes Shabbat bags all around campus. Shabbat in a Bag is FREE, thanks to a generous donor, and each bag contains the essentials and some goodies in order for you to celebrate this special holiday in your own space or a friends place. It's a great celebration across the entire campus! You can also pick up a Shabbat bag at the Hillel office, University Commons, Suite 203.
